DIFFERENT DREAMS

You can have
a dream for yourself or for the world

Dreams come in all shapes and sizes. The last page in the award-winning bestseller Dream reads:

Look up, up, up into
those billion billion sparkling stars.
What dreams do you find?
Little dreams, big dreams,
each a hope looking for a life to make it real –
a life like yours.
Be a Dreamer.

After reading Dream with a group, get a discussion going about different kinds of dreams. Think about what your hopes and dreams are – for yourself, your family, your community, our world. What do you want your life to be like? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do? What do you want to learn? What do you want for your family? How can you make the world a better place?

Using the Different Dreams sheet, students can move from a very specific, personal level of dreams and goals to a broader, more general level. It's good to have different dreams for different areas of your life.
