For Educators

Welcome to the Legacy Project, a big-picture learning project.

Our three banner programs reflect the three levels at which you and
your students evolve your legacy through your lifetime – personal, interpersonal, and community. LifeDreams explores personal development and creating your life. Across Generations explores our connections with others, and encourages closer relationships between generations. Our World explores how each of us can help change the world to address issues like building stronger communities and caring for the environment.

We offer free online activities, award-winning books and DVDs, workshops, essay contests, and more. Grounded in a decade of research, YOU 177 empowers students to achieve more and be more. Connect, Create, Change with the Legacy Project at www.legacyproject.org.

Young people want their lives and learning to mean something, and they want to connect in a real way to the adults and bigger world around them. Educators can make schools empowered places of possibility for all through YOU 177. Find out more about how schools can weave YOU 177 into what you're doing to build student thinking and life skills; support academic achievement in a broad 21st century context; help reduce dropout rates, alienation, and bullying; re-energize teachers; and mobilize the active participation of parents, grandparents, and community neighbors.

Motivate students to plan for the lifetime of possibilities ahead of them while building goal-setting, text and visual literacy skills through cross-curricular connections with LifeDreams activities.

Check out the Begin and End With a Dream activity set filled with meaningful ideas for beginning and ending the school year.
